Brussels: Ibb governor Abdulwahid Salah inspected the work progress and level of task implementation at the local water and sanitation corporation in the governorate on Wednesday. Governor Salah received a briefing from the Director General of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation, Majid al-Shami, along with his deputies and department heads. They discussed the corporation's plans, programs, and projects implemented during the first half of the year, as well as efforts to enhance water and sanitation services to meet citizens' needs across various districts and areas.
According to Yemen News Agency, Salah reviewed ongoing efforts to address technical and operational challenges faced by the corporation. He examined the water distribution plan and the strategies for organizing delivery to citizens, aiming for equitable distribution and optimal use of available resources. The governor emphasized the importance of improving performance levels and taking responsibility for providing essential water and sanitation services directly linked to citizens' daily needs.
Salah highlighted the need to develop work mechanisms and improve the operational efficiency of water networks and projects. He stressed organizing water distribution according to clear and equitable plans that ensure service access to all neighborhoods and districts while considering citizens' needs and available resources.
The Governor of Ibb also pointed out the necessity of strengthening institutional work and coordination among various departments and sections. He urged utilizing available resources and working as a unified team to overcome challenges and enhance the level of services provided to citizens.
Director General Majid al-Shami explained that the corporation continues to implement its operational plans and programs within its available resources. These efforts aim to improve water services, organize distribution processes, and ensure water delivery to citizens in neighborhoods and districts. Al-Shami affirmed the corporation's commitment to addressing technical and operational challenges to enhance performance efficiency, thereby contributing to service continuity and responsiveness to citizens' needs.
He expressed appreciation for the governorate's leadership's attention and support, acknowledging its commitment to backing the corporation's efforts in fulfilling its duties and serving the community.
