China: China's Ministry of Industry expects the country's production of humanoid robots to exceed the 100,000-unit threshold during the current year 2026. According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Gan Xiaobin, stated on Tuesday during a press conference for the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference that emerging AI applications and the ecosystem of this sector in China are boosting the prosperity of the robotics industry, contributing to unleashing the momentum of high-quality development in the country. He noted that the penetration rate of AI applications among Chinese industrial enterprises exceeding the designated business scale has reached more than 30%, while the China National AI Industry Investment Fund continues to intensify its operations to channel more capital into this sector. Gan pointed out that many of these innovations will be showcased during the 2026 World Artificial Inte lligence Conference, scheduled to be held in Shanghai from July 17 to 20. He explained that the conference, which will be held under the theme "AI Partnership for a Brighter Future," will include six main sections, including forums, exhibitions, innovation incubators, and talent exchange, noting that more than 1,100 exhibitors have registered to participate in the conference. More than 3,000 exhibits are expected to be displayed during the conference, including more than 300 products that will be unveiled for the first time globally.
