Tehran: The Iranian Fars News Agency reported on Saturday, citing information from the Ministry of Petroleum, that Iran possesses sufficient quantities of oil to sell and provide the necessary resources for the 2026 budget, despite the naval blockade. According to Yemen News Agency, the oil revenues collected during the first four months of this year reached approximately 99% of the estimated budget revenues. The agency stated that these substantial collections demonstrate Iran's capacity to finance its upcoming budgetary needs through its oil reserves. It added that the Ministry of Petroleum had previously transferred $7.5 billion in oil revenues generated from sales during the first four months of the year to the Central Bank of Iran. This transfer highlights Iran's ability to monetize its natural resources effectively, ensuring financial stability and continuity in government operations. The agency further mentioned that these funds are sufficient to cover all government expenditures in foreign currency from July to December 2026. This assurance indicates that Iran's economic strategies are aligned with its budgetary requirements, enabling the country to maintain its financial commitments even under challenging international conditions.
