Amran: The Cleaning and Improvement Fund and the Cleaning Workers' Union in Amran Governorate organized a cultural and speech event on Saturday to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth. Attended by Amran Governor Dr. Faisal Jamaan, the event emphasized the significance of the Prophet's birth as a spiritual and educational occasion that reflects on the life of the Prophet of mercy and guidance, drawing lessons and values from his life and teachings.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor Hassan Al-Ashqas underscored that the occasion represents an opportunity to strengthen the connection with the Prophet, follow his righteous path, and uphold the values he embodied, particularly focusing on mercy, justice, tolerance, good conduct, respect for rights, and fairness among people. He urged society to manifest their love for the Prophet through practical conduct, emphasizing good morals, helping others, serving the community, and maintaining cleanliness as a civilized practice, which is both a religious and humanitarian value.
For his part, Cleaning Project Director Abdulkarim Al-Ansi noted that commemorating the Prophet's birth reflects the Yemeni people's deep attachment to the Prophet Muhammad and their adherence to his righteous path and the values he conveyed to humanity. He highlighted the importance of using the occasion to reinforce ethical and social values, promote a culture of work and community service, uphold the Islamic identity, and follow the Prophet's example in mercy, solidarity, kindness, and good treatment.
Participants at the event strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran, including incidents involving the burning of copies of the Quran, describing these acts as provocations to Muslims' feelings and violations of their sacred beliefs. They stressed the necessity to respect religious symbols and sanctities and called on Muslims to remain committed to the Holy Quran, honor it, and follow its guidance.
