Sana'a: The Mawlid football tournament for deaf players continued in Sana'a on Thursday, with participating teams competing in the five-day event organized by the General Federation for Deaf Sports under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with support from the Youth and Sports Welfare Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, two matches were played. In the first, Al-Amal School - Maeen drew 3-3 with the Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Deaf and Mute - Amanat Al-Asimah. In the second match, Amanat Al-Asimah Deaf Sports Club secured its first win, defeating Future School for the Deaf - Shuub 2-0.
Al-Amal School leads the standings with four points, followed by the Deaf Sports Club with three, the Deaf Association with two, and Future School with one point. Two matches will be played Friday, with Future School facing Al-Amal School - Madhbah, while the Deaf Association meets the Deaf Sports Club.
The tournament features 44 players representing the Deaf Sports Club, the Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Deaf, Al-Amal School for the Deaf - Madhbah, and Future School for the Deaf - Shuub.
