Shuhoub: The Shuhoub District Security Department, along with its affiliated police stations in the Capital Secretariat, organized a celebration on Wednesday to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.
According to Yemen News Agency, Shura Council member Ahmed Al-Sharabi addressed the gathering, emphasizing the occasion as an opportunity to bolster social cohesion, preserve security, and maintain stability. Al-Sharabi highlighted the importance of community awareness in addressing challenges and countering threats to national security. He pointed out that the connection of security personnel to the Prophet, demonstrated through such events, underscores the significance of emulating the Prophet's noble character and adhering to discipline, sincerity, and community service.
Al-Sharabi further remarked that the celebration occurs amid challenges facing the Muslim nation, necessitating a return to the Prophet's teachings, adherence to the Holy Quran, and Islamic principles. He called for the promotion of steadfastness, patience, solidarity, and responsibility in the community.
The event was attended by notable figures including Capital Secretariat Social Affairs Committee Chairman Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, Deputy Mayor Ali Al-Lahji, Shuhoub District Local Council Secretary-General Mohammed Al-Hadrami, General Mobilization official Abdullah Al-Kawl, and Security Zone Director Colonel Ghanem Jazilan. Colonel Majed Al-Hamli, Director of Moral Guidance and Relations at the Amanat Al-Asimah Security Department, reviewed the celebrations and highlighted Yemenis' observance of this religious occasion.
Colonel Al-Hamli emphasized the unifying nature of the celebration, reflecting the legacy of the early supporters of the Prophet. He noted that both official and public participation illustrate the Yemeni people's strong emotional connection to the Prophet, reinforcing their commitment to their Islamic identity and values.
Deputy Security Zone Director Abdulmajeed Abu Khulqa delivered a speech on behalf of the Security Department, affirming that participation in the event conveys a religious and cultural message of the Yemeni people's adherence to their Islamic identity. He stressed that commemorating the Prophet's life is not just about festivities, but an expression of love and attachment to the Prophet, and a renewal of commitment to the Holy Quran and the Prophet's guidance in all life aspects.
