Sanaa: Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, met on Tuesday with the preparatory committee for the First National Conference on Occupational Safety and Health to discuss the ongoing arrangements for holding the conference.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Labor Affairs and member of the preparatory committee, Abdullah Haider, reviewed the progress made by the subcommittees. He highlighted the efforts undertaken in preparation and organization, as well as the conference's role in promoting a culture of compliance with occupational safety standards at the national level.
Al-Hamli stressed the importance of adhering to the directives of the Acting Prime Minister regarding the qualitative preparation of the conference's materials. He emphasized that the outcomes should be practical and actionable to ensure a tangible improvement in the ministry's performance within this vital sector.
He also called on experts, academics, and stakeholders to actively participate and submit high-quality papers aligned with the specified themes, contributing to improving compliance with national requirements and standards.
The Deputy Minister further commended the role of labor stakeholders and urged organizers from government entities to intensify efforts to ensure the success of the conference and achieve its objectives of establishing a safe and sustainable work environment.
