Sanaa: An expanded meeting was held today in Sha'ab District, Capital Sanaa, to discuss ways to develop performance and improve the educational process at the district's literacy centers. The meeting included key figures such as the Director of the Literacy Office in the Secretariat, Jalal Al-Maqrami, his deputy Fa'ez Al-Fa'eq, heads of various committees like Planning, Finance, Social Affairs, and Services, as well as supervisors of the literacy centers.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the mechanism of work in the centers, the level of program implementation, and the most prominent needs and challenges. A significant outcome of the meeting was the approval of a work plan to be submitted to the Literacy Office in the Secretariat. This plan consists of proposals aimed at improving the conditions of the 22 centers and providing necessary educational supplies to enhance performance and ensure the success of the educational process.
The Director of the Office in the Secretariat emphasized the importance of continuing education to reduce illiteracy and equip learners with practical skills. He stressed the need to qualify supervisors by enrolling them in the Teachers' Institute and to review the status of volunteers by submitting their names.
Dr. Abdullah Dhibyan, the Director of the Literacy Office in the district, highlighted that the office has opened ten new centers, increasing the total to 22, due to the concerted efforts of the district leadership and the community. The participants also underscored the necessity of providing textbooks and educational supplies, along with enhancing coordination among relevant authorities to improve the centers' performance.
