Earthquake Measuring 3.9 on Richter Scale Struck Northwest Odain in Ibb Governorate

Sanaa: The Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring Center recorded a local, minor earthquake 12 kilometers northwest of Odain in Ibb Governorate, measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale.

According to Yemen News Agency, the head of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring Center, Engineer Mohammed Al-Houthi, reported that the tremor was recorded at 1:35 AM. He mentioned that the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 6 kilometers, causing a wider area to feel the tremor. Areas such as Wasab, Atmah, Shamir, and several other regions experienced the effects of the quake.

Engineer Al-Houthi urged citizens to remain calm and not worry, as no further seismic activity has been recorded since this tremor. He assured that the center's staff continues to monitor seismic activity around the clock in anticipation of any emergency.
