Al mahwit: The Education, Literacy and Adult Education Sector in Al Mahwit Governorate organized a speech event on Saturday to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. The event was attended by notable officials including Dr. Ali Al-Zaykum, Secretary-General of the Local Council, and Deputy Governors Hamoud Shamlan, Abdul-Salam Al-Dhamari, and Hussein Arqad. The event underscored the importance of following the example set by the Prophet Muhammad, drawing lessons and inspiration from his biography, morals, and efforts in promoting truth.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor Ali Sharaf Al-Din emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is a testament to the people's connection to the Prophet and their commitment to his righteous path, which is foundational to building a society grounded in noble morals and values. He highlighted the role of educational institutions in instilling Prophetic values and principles among students, thereby strengthening their religious and national awareness.
Al-Din further noted that the occasion serves as an educational and cultural opportunity for younger generations to familiarize themselves with the Prophet's biography and his significant stances on supporting truth and justice, as well as fostering solidarity, compassion, and brotherhood within society.
Deputy Head of the Education Sector, Sharaf Abdul-Rahman, reported that over 150,000 students from schools across the governorate are participating in the commemoration through various activities, including sporting events, awareness-raising programs, cultural activities, exhibitions, and school programs. These activities aim to deepen students' connection to the Prophet's life, reinforce moral and behavioral values, and develop their talents across cultural, artistic, and sporting domains.
Abdul-Rahman stressed the ongoing importance of educational activities and programs that contribute to raising students' awareness and enhancing their development into balanced and active members of society.
Additionally, Muhammad Al-Nazili, Director of Literacy and Adult Education, described the commemoration as an educational and faith-based occasion that offers inspiration from the values and principles of the Prophetic biography. He highlighted the importance of using this opportunity to enhance community awareness, promote education and literacy, and reinforce cooperation, solidarity, and compassion, values embodied by the Prophet throughout his life.
Participants in the event praised the organization of educational and cultural activities marking the Prophet's birthday and affirmed the importance of continuing programs aimed at strengthening faith-based and moral values among students.
