Election of Administrative Board for Food & Beverage Sector at Sana’a Chamber of Commerce & Industry

Sana'a: The Sana'a Chamber of Commerce and Industry held an expanded meeting of manufacturers in the food and beverage sector to elect an administrative board.

According to Yemen News Agency, the founding meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors in the governorate, Hashem Al-Suwari, who stressed the importance of establishing and activating industrial sectors, including the food and beverage manufacturing sector within the Chamber. He highlighted the strategic importance of national industries within the private sector and their role in supporting the national economy.

Al-Suwari also acknowledged the efforts of suppliers of raw materials and inputs for this vital industry, emphasizing the necessity for them to receive incentives and exemptions as outlined in the Investment Law. The election process for the administrative board was conducted through direct voting by the founders, with the presence of Directors of Legal Affairs and Companies at the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment, Nabil Al-Saqqaf and Yahya Al-Mahdi, as well as the Chamber's director in the governorate, Matar Al-Matari.

The election concluded with Drham Ahmed Sabr being elected as Chairman, Mohammed Ali Al-Azab as Vice Chairman, and Ahmed Mohsen Al-Suwari as Rapporteur.
