Sana'a: Leaders of the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Water and its affiliated institutions visited on Monday the graves of former President Saleh Al-Sammad and his companions, Prime Minister Ahmed Al-Rahawi and fellow ministers, and Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Ghamari, marking the first anniversary of their deaths in Israeli attacks.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister Adel Bader, Electricity Sector Undersecretary Ahmed Al-Mutawakkel, and other ministry officials laid wreaths at the graves of the martyrs, including former Electricity and Energy Minister Dr. Ali Mohammed Hassan. They also recited Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs and all those killed in what the ministry described as the 'Promised Victory and Sacred Jihad' battle.
Bader said the visit reflects loyalty to the martyrs' sacrifices and commemorates their national and military contributions, stressing that their legacy should inspire perseverance, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.
He called on electricity and water sector leaders and employees to follow the martyrs' example by improving public services, addressing citizens' needs, strengthening institutional integrity, cooperation, and carrying out their duties with greater dedication.
Bader also emphasized that honoring the martyrs requires continued work, development and service to society, as well as preserving national achievements and fulfilling state responsibilities efficiently.
The visit was attended by ministry officials, directors of affiliated institutions, and a number of senior staff and employees.
