Sana'a: In a meeting held on Wednesday in the capital Sana'a, the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Abdullah al-Amir, and the Vice Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Adel Bader, discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation and establish mechanisms for the regular and sustainable supply of petroleum products to power plants.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by relevant officials from the Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC), reviewed the actual fuel requirements of power plants and the mechanisms for providing the necessary quantities according to well-studied operational plans to ensure service stability.
Both parties emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and enhancing technical and administrative communication channels between the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and the Ministry of Electricity and Energy. This aims to ensure a smooth flow of supplies and overcome any obstacles that might affect the refueling process or the operation of power stations.
The Minister of Oil and Minerals reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to supporting the electricity sector by providing the necessary petroleum derivatives within available capabilities. He directed the Yemen Petroleum Company to coordinate directly with the relevant authorities at the Ministry of Electricity and Energy to cover power plant needs consistently.
The Vice Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water expressed his appreciation for the ongoing cooperation between the two ministries, stressing the importance of continued coordination to guarantee service stability and meet the needs of citizens.
