Paris: European stock indices rose in trading on Monday, reaching their highest levels in over two months, as a result of indications of progress in negotiations between Iran and the United States to end the war. According to Yemen News Agency, the pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose 0.61 percent to 628.93 points, trading near the record high it reached in late February. Most sectors on the index rose, led by the banking sector which jumped 1.7 percent. France's CAC 40 index increased 0.98 percent, Germany's DAX index rose 1.17 percent, and Italy's FTSE MIB index also rose 0.99 percent. Most sectors rose, led by the banking sector which jumped 1.7 percent, while shares of airlines such as Lufthansa and Air France-KLM increased by 4.2 percent and 9 percent respectively. On February 28 of last year, America and the Zionist entity launched a new aggression against Iran that lasted 40 days, killing thousands of civilians and targeting schools, hospitals, mosques, and other resources of the Iranian people. In res ponse to the aggression, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4 against the Zionist entity and American bases in the region.
