European Stocks Stabilize in Positive Territory

Muscat: European stocks stabilized in positive territory during Monday's trading session, with the broad European Stoxx 600 index rising by 0.13% to reach 575.58 points, as major indices recorded slight gains. The UK's FTSE index stabilized at 9701.01 points, while France's CAC 40 remained steady at 8174.93 points. Germany's DAX index rose by 0.2% to reach 23927.92 points.

According to Yemen News Agency, this performance comes after a difficult week for European markets last week, when regional exchanges closed sharply lower on Friday due to concerns about a potential bubble in the artificial intelligence sector and impacts on the global economy, which shook investor confidence.

Recent comments from US Federal Reserve officials in recent weeks have also led investors to reconsider the likelihood of interest rate cuts in December. The CME Group's FedWatch indicator shows that markets are currently pricing in a 56.1% probability that the Fed will keep interest rates unchanged at its next meeting, after the market had previously given nearly a 95% chance of a rate cut by the end of the year.
