Al-hodeida: The General Authority for Tihama Development and the branch of the General Authority for Tribal Affairs in Al-Hodeida Governorate organized a celebratory evening commemorating the anniversary of the noble Prophet's birth (Mawlid al-Nabawi), under the slogan "Here I am, O Messenger of God."
According to Yemen News Agency, the evening was attended by the Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qahim, the Governor of Al-Hodeida Abdullah Atifi, and Dr. Hussein Maqbuli. The Deputy Governor Mohammed Halisi highlighted that the Mawlid al-Nabawi celebration reflects the depth of the Yemeni people's connection to the Messenger of God (PBUH) and their loyalty to his message, drawing from his biography the values of steadfastness, patience, and jihad in facing challenges.
Halisi noted that the people of Tihama, like other Yemenis, celebrate this occasion from a faith-based identity, drawing inspiration to support and adhere to truth. He emphasized that the Mawlid commemoration enhances awareness of responsibility toward national causes.
He also stressed the importance of government institutions serving citizens and reinforcing resilience, lauding the efforts of the General Authority for Tihama Development in supporting the agricultural sector and development in the Tihama plain, which supports the national economy and farmers.
The event, which included the Director of the Tihama Development Authority Engineer Fawaz Al-Adhari, leaders and staff of the Authority, scholars, and social figures, featured chanting and poetic segments.
