Al-qurashiyah: The people of Al-Qurashiyah District in Al-Bayda Governorate organized on Thursday a ceremonial event marking the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by the Governor's Deputy, Saleh Al-Joufi, and featured remarks by Deputy Adel Qarmoush, who emphasized the need for the nation to sincerely return to God and His Messenger to build a Muhammadan community that spreads goodness across the world. He highlighted that celebrating the birth of the leader and savior of the nation angers and pains the enemies of Islam while affirming the close bond between the faithful and their Prophet.
The deputy also pointed out that commemorating the Prophet's birthday reinforces religious identity and carries profound significance, especially in light of the great challenges facing the Islamic nation that threaten its identity. He called on residents of the districts to attend the central celebration to be held in Al-Sawadiyah District on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.
Cultural activist Hossam Al-Qatabari noted that celebrating the Prophet's birthday reflects Yemenis' deep connection to the Messenger of God and their dedication to remembering his noble life and high humanitarian values. He praised the participation of various segments of society in the occasion, describing it as a comprehensive school of values and principles based on mercy, tolerance, justice, and solidarity.
