Sana'a: The local authority and the General Mobilization in al-Tuhaita district of Hodeida governorate organized on Wednesday a commemorative event marking the 11th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution. The event was attended by Member of Parliament Mohammed Ahaif, District Director Adel Ahaif, and the district's Mobilization Officer Sadiq Futaini.
According to Yemen News Agency, speakers at the event affirmed that the September 21 Revolution represented a historic turning point in the Yemeni people's struggle, highlighting the achievements made in confronting political and military challenges and the resilience of Yemenis in the face of aggression. They stressed that the revolution embodied the people's free will to break free from foreign tutelage, underscoring the importance of drawing lessons from the historic September events and strengthening community awareness to confront enemy plots.
The speakers also praised the efforts of the district's community leaders (aqils) and their engagement with 'Al-Aqsa Flood' courses, which reflected popular solidarity with the causes of the nation. They emphasized the importance of community cohesion and rallying behind the revolutionary and political leadership until all the revolution's goals are achieved, noting that commemorating this occasion reinforces the spirit of steadfastness and renews the pledge to continue the march of freedom and independence.
The event, which was also attended by directors of executive offices, community leaders, sheikhs, and notables of the district, featured patriotic poems celebrating the greatness and national values of the occasion. A number of community leaders were honored with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their efforts in serving society and engaging with national causes.
