Sana'a: Residents of the eastern Andalus neighborhood and the Martyrs of Al-Aqsa neighborhood in New Sana'a District, Sana'a Governorate, organized a festival to celebrate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, the festival was attended by notable figures including Shura Council member Musleh Abu Sha'ar and Deputy Governor of Al-Dhale'a, Hussein Wasel. The governorate's advisor, Brigadier General Yahya Al-Mu'aydi, highlighted the significance of this occasion, emphasizing that commemorating it is a way of honoring the noble character of the Prophet, who was sent to guide all of humanity. Al-Mu'aydi stressed the importance of celebrating the Prophet's life of struggle and his virtuous morals.
Al-Mu'aydi further explained that true connection to faith is manifested in honoring the birth of the Prophet, loving him, and emulating his generosity, benevolence, and steadfastness in facing adversaries in defense of the faith and oppressed people. The festival and its various segments were described as a sincere expression of joy and a clear embodiment of loyalty through adherence to the Prophet's teachings.
Meanwhile, activist Khalid al-Jufi emphasized the anniversary of the birth of the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad, as a mobilizing, faith-based occasion. He noted that people draw strength from the values and principles of the religion, finding inspiration for resilience, unity, and steadfastness in supporting the causes of the nation.
The festival, attended by several local officials including the head of the Public Works Department Engineer Muhammad Ashiya, Assistant Director of Security Colonel Shafiq al-Hashimi, and others, featured poems and songs celebrating the grandeur of the occasion and the exalted status of the Prophet.
