Finance Team Triumphs in Cultural Contest at Martyr Al-Sammad Football Championship

Sanaa: The Ministry of Finance team emerged victorious in the cultural competition held alongside the Martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad Football Championship, a tournament involving various ministries, authorities, and government institutions.

According to Yemen News Agency, the championship is organized by the General Administration of Cultural and Social Activities at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The Finance team clinched the title by defeating the Public Prosecution team in a closely contested final round, securing a score of 70 points to 60. This victory placed the Finance team in first, while the Public Prosecution team took second place.

The cultural competition is part of the Ramadan championship's accompanying activities, involving teams from numerous government entities. The event fostered a competitive atmosphere, showcasing the participants' high level of cultural knowledge and awareness.

The final round featured a fierce contest between the two teams, with questions spanning various cultural topics. Ultimately, the Ministry of Finance team claimed victory with a 10-point lead.

In addition to the competition, an awareness lecture titled 'Soft War' was delivered by lecturer Zaid Jahaf. The lecture focused on the concept of soft warfare and its tools, such as media, culture, and rumors, used to target societies. Jahaf emphasized the need for community awareness and intellectual resilience to counter these challenges.

Dr. Mohammed Haj, Director General of Cultural and Social Activities at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, noted that the cultural competitions are part of the ministry's broader efforts to enrich activities accompanying sports tournaments, thereby enhancing cultural and intellectual awareness among participants.
