Sana'a: Foreign Minister Jamal Amer conducted an inspection visit today to the Consular Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review its operations and the efforts being made to streamline procedures and provide quality services to Yemeni citizens both at home and abroad.

According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Amer received a briefing from the head of the Consular Department, Ambassador Ahmed Hameed Omar, who outlined the department's workflow across its various sections. Omar emphasized the efficiency and speed in handling daily transactions, particularly within the legalization section, which plays a vital role in serving the public.

He stated that the department adheres to rigorous technical standards to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of all certified documents, with no notable delays in processing, reflecting the department's commitment to timely and effective service delivery.

The minister also visited the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior, which hosts a branch of the Consular Department. Deputy Director of the department, Colonel Ali Al-Kabsi, provided an overview of the unit's operations and its close coordination with the consular team, especially concerning the issuance and authentication of criminal records, documents essential for travel, employment, and academic purposes.

Minister Amer praised the consular team's crucial role in providing consular services to citizens from all governorates, noting that these efforts highlight the Foreign Ministry's dedication to public service under current national circumstances.

He also commended the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Criminal Evidence Directorate, for its national role in verifying the legal integrity of applicants' documents and criminal records, especially amid ongoing attacks since the beginning of the aggression on March 26, 2015, and the recent joint American, British, and Israeli assault.

Amer stated that such efforts bolster state resilience and contribute to uncovering the truth. He affirmed the Foreign Ministry's continued collaboration with the Interior Ministry to modernize workflows and deliver top-tier services to citizens through coordinated efforts with relevant government institutions, all in the interest of national resilience and the public good.
