General Cultural Women’s Authority Marks 12 Years of Enhancing Quranic Awareness

Rome:The General Cultural Women's Authority celebrates its twelfth anniversary, reflecting on its journey of promoting women's awareness and role in society through the teachings of the Quran. The organization has developed numerous programs, projects, and institutional frameworks to support this mission, expanding its reach and impact over the years.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Authority's initiatives include the "Al-Kawthar Quranic Schools" and "Al-Furqan Schools for Quran Memorization," which have grown to over 1,600 and 1,800 schools respectively. These institutions are spread across various villages and neighborhoods in the free governorates, aiming to elevate women's cultural and educational awareness and prepare them to contribute meaningfully to society.

The Al-Kawthar Quranic Schools provide an integrated cultural program twice a week, catering to female students of all ages and educational levels. The curriculum focuses on a conscious study of the Holy Quran, incorporating "Lessons from the Guidance of the Holy Quran" and lectures by Sayyid Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, alongside awareness-building activities to reinforce faith-based concepts. The schools are named after Lady Fatima Al-Zahra, embodying her exemplary virtues.

In the past year, the Authority's cultural department has expanded its activities to more districts and governorates, resulting in increased awareness among women in targeted areas and a rise in female student enrollment. The "Al-Dhikra" program has also played a significant role in linking current events to Quranic teachings, fostering societal cohesion and building an informed community.

The Authority emphasizes the need for heightened awareness and resilience in facing challenges and external threats aimed at undermining women's faith identity. It calls on Yemeni women to join the Al-Kawthar and Al-Furqan schools to strengthen their faith and moral values, contributing to the collective effort of carrying the divine message globally.

Additionally, the Authority has supported the Yemeni Armed Forces by organizing convoys, including cash and valuable contributions from women, to aid the fighters on the front lines. Looking forward, the Authority aims to broaden its outreach, promoting Quranic culture and divine guidance to women across Yemen, ensuring their active participation in societal and faith-based endeavors.
