Speaker of Parliament Emphasizes Collaborative Efforts for Agricultural Development in Yemen

Sana'a:Speaker of Parliament Sheikh Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i highlighted the critical need for collective efforts to bolster agricultural development and local production, especially amid the ongoing challenges posed by the Saudi blockade on Yemen for over a decade.

According to Yemen News Agency, during his visit to the "Yemen's Bounties" Festival, Sheikh Al-Ra'i underscored the importance of enhancing agricultural and economic development through local inputs to achieve self-sufficiency in grains, fruits, and other products. He commended the festival's organization and the participation of entities showcasing Yemeni products.

The festival serves as a platform to promote Yemen's agricultural wealth and strengthen its market presence. It brings together producers, farmers, and marketers to showcase products, open new marketing avenues, and foster direct communication between producers and consumers.

Sheikh Al-Ra'i also toured the festival's pavilions, inspecting various agricultural products, including honey, coffee, dairy, fish, and fruits like grapes and pomegranates. He praised the festival's organization and emphasized the need to support local producers, ensuring they have the environment to promote their products and enhance Yemen's agricultural development.
