Sana'a: The Government of Change and Construction seeks to implement its program, approved by the Parliament of Representatives on last August 19, a week after the decision to form it was issued, and to implement urgent priorities that contribute to development and positive change in citizens' lives. The government's program includes six main axes, including strengthening steadfastness in the face of aggression and addressing its effects; administrative development and institutional reform; economic, financial, and development policies; public services and infrastructure; domestic and foreign policy; and promoting justice and human rights.
According to Yemen News Agency, the government is taking concrete actions to strengthen resilience and confront aggression. It is committed to supporting the people of Gaza and the Palestinian resistance, with the armed forces carrying out operations targeting US aircraft carriers in the Red and Arabian Seas. A source in the Ministry of Defense confirmed that the US aircraft carrier Truman will soon leave the Red Sea after failing in its objectives. Meanwhile, government agencies are implementing an emergency plan to support resistance efforts in Gaza and address US aggression against Yemen.
On the political front, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates intensified its activities by sending messages to the international community regarding US aggression's impact. The Ministry called on the Security Council to condemn the aggression against Yemen and to address the delays in issuing permits for ships carrying essential goods. Additionally, efforts are being made to provide emergency aid to those affected by recent attacks, with coordination between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The government is also focused on stabilizing the fuel supply situation, developing institutions, and combating corruption. Since its formation, the government has worked to restructure ministries and improve administrative performance. Workshops and initiatives have been launched to encourage national production and achieve self-sufficiency, including a ban on frozen chicken imports and efforts to promote local products.
Furthermore, the government is activating a boycott of American and Israeli goods, with executive measures being discussed and implemented. Imported US goods have reportedly declined by 67.91 percent in 2024 compared to 2022. To improve services, the government is enhancing coordination between ministries and utilizing modern technology to streamline processes and communication.
In the realm of youth and education, the government is honoring students who excelled in the Science and Technology Olympiad and is committed to supporting children and young people through various programs. Efforts are also underway to address the brain drain phenomenon and preserve national heritage and intellectual property.
The government is focusing on capacity building, particularly in the health sector, with training courses being conducted to enhance the skills of health personnel.
