According to Yemen News Agency, Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi emphasized that the development of the unified coordination and admission system is part of the ministry's broader plan to integrate educational systems, spanning schools, institutes, community colleges, universities, and postgraduate studies. He described the coordination portal as a significant step toward regulating admission processes across educational sectors and overcoming related challenges. Al-Saadi acknowledged the efforts of the ministry's leadership, sector deputies, and the Information Technology Center in achieving this milestone, while advocating for further development.
Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Duais regarded the launch as a demonstration of integration, unifying coordination and admission for community colleges and technical institutes under a single portal for Yemeni educational institutions through the Information Technology Center. He noted the portal's comprehensive inclusion of all educational systems and categories, with intentions to expand its reach to school students.
Deputy Ministers for Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim Luqman and Secondary Education Dr. Zaid Al-Hadour underscored the importance of unifying the electronic coordination and admission portal through the Information Technology Center's platform, now accessible as an application. They confirmed plans for a unified policy document for admission and coordination across educational systems next year. They stressed the need for applied technical and vocational specializations to support industrial progress.
Dr. Fuad Abdulrazzaq, Executive Director of the Information Technology Center, described the launch of the unified system as an advanced move toward integration, positioning these institutions within higher education. He affirmed the commitment to ministry directives by collaborating with the technical education IT team to develop an integration mechanism, starting with community colleges and expanding to other institutes.
Eng. Essam Al-Afeeri, Director of Information and Systems for Technical Education, reviewed the joint team's work stages and progress in adapting to changes. The efforts resulted in a unified portal accommodating all educational systems and programs, establishing a coordination and admission mechanism through the Information Technology Center.
