Hamdan Tribes Declare General Mobilization Against Foreign Control

Sanaa:Tribes and sheikhs of the Hamdan district in Sanaa province organized an armed tribal rally on Wednesday. The gathering was a demonstration against foreign control and dependence, showing support for the leadership's decisions and military operations, and announcing a general mobilization.

According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the rally reaffirmed their support for the Palestinian cause and called for continued public mobilization, as well as the provision of personnel and funds to the battlefronts. They praised the Yemeni armed forces for their successful operations targeting military facilities, airports, and bases within Saudi territory.

Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Dhaifallah Rasam, emphasized the need for unity, continuous mobilization, and readiness to counter what he described as Saudi aggression and blockade. Tribal leaders and participants reiterated their support for revolutionary leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and the armed forces.

The tribes cited Saudi crimes over the past 12 years, including recent attacks in Taiz, Sanaa, and Jawf, as reasons for announcing a general mobilization of their members. They pledged ongoing support for the armed forces and called for an end to the blockade and foreign interference.

The rally also urged those fighting alongside Saudi-backed mercenaries to return to the national side and take advantage of the presidential amnesty. The event marked support for Palestine and Jerusalem, commemorated the first anniversary of the death of military commander Mohammed Abdul-Karim al-Ghamari, and noted the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
