Health Center Opens in al-Durayhimi District, Hodeida

Hodeida: A new health center was inaugurated on Sunday in the al-Zaafaran area of Kilometre 16 in al-Durayhimi district of Hodeida governorate. This initiative was part of a community project supported by the Humanitarian Hands Foundation, costing $50,000.

According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Ali al-Haddad, Director of the Health and Environment Office in the governorate, along with District Director Mohammed al-Mousai, Local Council Secretary-General Abdullah Abkar, Mobilization Official Ali Issa, and District Health Office Director Dr. Mohammed Qaboos. They toured the center's departments and reviewed the medical and healthcare services it will provide to residents of the area and nearby villages.

Dr. al-Haddad emphasized the significance of the center's opening in strengthening medical services in the affected areas and alleviating the suffering of citizens in the Kilometre 16 area and surrounding villages. He acknowledged the collaborative efforts of both official and community members that contributed to the completion of this service project. He also mentioned ongoing efforts in the health sector aimed at rehabilitation and expanding healthcare coverage to reach every village and rural area.

District Director al-Mousai and Secretary-General Abkar commended the Humanitarian Hands Foundation and community contributions that aided in completing the vital facility. They affirmed the local authority's commitment to overcoming obstacles to initiatives that serve the public interest.

District Health Office Director Dr. Qaboos highlighted the importance of health centers in providing primary healthcare and ensuring public health and safety for the local community.

After the inauguration, the officials visited the health unit in Al-Makimniyah area and the health center in Deir Hassan, where they assessed the level of medical services provided to patients. They also received a briefing from healthcare staff on the necessary needs and requirements to improve performance and enhance healthcare services.
