Sana'a: The Ministry of Health and Environment has finalized all necessary health arrangements and procedures for the upcoming Prophet's birthday celebrations in Sana'a and other governorates. The aim is to ensure comprehensive and safe services for all participants during this significant religious occasion.
According to Yemen News Agency, Minister of Health Dr. Ali Shaiban urged attendees to adhere to safety procedures, follow traffic regulations, and avoid crowding. In a statement to the agency, Minister Shaiban emphasized the commitment to the health and safety of the crowds at the celebration venues, underscoring the health sector's responsibilities.
Dr. Shaiban highlighted that the Ministry has instructed all health facilities to embody the values of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), such as mercy, compassion, honesty, and dedication to work. These values are expected to positively impact the services provided to citizens, particularly the sick and the poor, through compassionate treatment and discounted healthcare services.
The Minister stressed the importance of integrating these noble values into healthcare practices, contributing to the goal of preserving human health. He called on all health leaders and staff to fulfill their responsibilities and reflect these principles in their interactions with patients and citizens.
The Ministry of Health has prepared medical, health, and ambulance teams in partnership between public and private sectors to implement the plan for this religious occasion. Dr. Shaiban reported that 7,880 healthcare workers would be deployed across various locations, with 200 ambulances and the preparation of 80 public and 140 private hospitals, as well as field hospitals.
Furthermore, medical personnel have been assigned to provide healthcare services to the pilgrims visiting the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) at hospitals, field camps, and other medical facilities.
Deputy Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Nasser Al-Qoud, affirmed that these preparations form part of a comprehensive health emergency plan. The Ministry has mobilized its resources to ensure a safe environment during public events.
Dr. Al-Qoud explained that these efforts reflect the Ministry's humanitarian and national mission, inspired by the Prophet Muhammad's message of guidance and mercy.
Dr. Abdulwahab Saad, Head of the Central Health Committee, stated that 58 medical camps have been established with 606 medical personnel. Additionally, 141 ambulances have been deployed in field areas and 207 on roads, along with 30 field hospitals staffed by 779 medical personnel and 4,870 field medics.
The health sector's participation extends beyond celebratory events, with free medical services provided in hospitals since the beginning of Safar. The Ministry aims to alleviate the suffering of patients, especially the poor, and bring joy to their families.
The celebrations include significant discounts on medical services in both public and private hospitals, out of love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). Various regions have witnessed the implementation of free medical and treatment camps for the poorest families and remote areas.
Through these preparations, the Ministry of Health and Environment embodies its humanitarian mission and responsibility to ensure a healthy and safe environment, reflecting the values of faith and loyalty associated with the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
