Hodeida Concludes “We Are All Responsible” Environmental Awareness Program

Hodeida: "We Are All Responsible" environmental awareness program, implemented by the Environmental Awareness and Education Department of the Governorate's Cleaning and Improvement Fund, concluded today in Hodeida governorate. The program targeted a number of institutes and educational and training institutions.

According to Yemen News Agency, over the course of a month, the program aimed to raise environmental awareness among youth and students and promote a culture of social responsibility towards the city's cleanliness and the preservation of its civilized appearance.

In his remarks on the occasion, the Executive Director of the Governorate's Cleaning Fund, Abdulnasser al-Sharif, explained that the program is part of the Fund's plan to engage the community, especially youth, as a fundamental pillar for a clean and sustainable environment. He considered strengthening community awareness a complementary path to fieldwork, ensuring the success of cleaning efforts and transforming them into a daily habit. He emphasized the Fund's continued commitment to implementing awareness programs that aim to solidify partnerships with various sectors and student initiatives.

The Fund Director commended the engagement of educational institution leaders, faculty, and students with the program's activities, which contributes to disseminating awareness messages to broad segments of society. The program included diverse field and awareness activities, such as distributing informational materials and brochures about the "Citizen" application, designed for reporting waste accumulation, as well as a presentation on sound environmental practices and how to contribute to improving the overall appearance of the governorate.
