Hodeida: The General Electricity Corporation in the Hodeida region organized a cultural evening to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), under the slogan "At Your Service, O Messenger of Allah." During the event, Ahmed Al-Bishri, the governorate's first deputy governor, emphasized the importance of celebrating this occasion as a means to renew faith and loyalty to the Prophet Muhammad and to embody his love, values, and teachings through solidarity, cooperation, compassion, and social solidarity.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Bishri stated that the Yemeni people celebrate the birth of the Light of Guidance every year due to its significance, great status, and positive impact in embodying pride, dignity, steadfastness, and victory over enemies. He highlighted the nation's need for a sincere return to Allah and His noble Messenger, encouraging a path towards building a Muhammadan nation that spreads goodness globally.
Al-Bishri discussed the great significance of this occasion and its celebration, drawing inspiration from the life of the Noble Messenger, his values, and morals, and embodying them in word and deed. He called for a strong turnout at the major event set for the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, to honor the birth anniversary of the Master of Messengers, befitting the occasion's greatness in the hearts of Yemenis.
Engineer Ahmed Rawdan, Director of the Electricity Corporation, explained that this celebration aligns with the pride and advancement Yemen is experiencing at all levels. He pointed out the challenges faced by the Yemeni people as they adhere to the principles of the Greatest Messenger in rejecting injustice and pursuing liberation from external guardianship and hegemony.
Sheikh Muhammad al-Wafi, in his speech, highlighted the occasion's importance in the lives of Muslims worldwide, emphasizing the need to draw lessons from the biography of the Chosen One and emulate his morals to strengthen brotherhood and compassion in society.
The evening, attended by the Electricity Corporation's deputy directors and several employees, featured a poem, expressive songs, and a tribute to nine families of the Corporation's martyrs, honoring their memory and contributions.
