Hodeida Launches Food Basket Initiative for Martyrs’ Families

Hodeida:The province's branch of the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families initiated a project on Saturday to distribute food baskets to the families of martyrs in all districts of the governorate. This initiative coincides with the annual Martyr's Day commemoration for 1448 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi stated that the project's goal is to support these families and address their needs. This effort aligns with the directives of Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and the priorities set by the Supreme Political Council.

Halisi emphasized the significance of the project in alleviating the economic challenges faced by martyrs' families amid ongoing aggression and blockades. He noted that the annual commemoration of Martyr's Day serves as a reminder of the loyalty and gratitude owed to those who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and dignity of the homeland.

He pointed out that the martyrs' sacrifices provide inspiration for future generations, symbolizing steadfastness and devotion. Halisi also highlighted that the freedoms and victories achieved, particularly on the West Coast fronts, are direct results of these sacrifices. He urged institutions and organizations to enhance efforts to fulfill the living, healthcare, and educational needs of martyrs' families, assuring the local authority's commitment to their ongoing care.

Ali Al-Sha'thami, Director of the Authority's Hodeida branch, mentioned that the food basket project targets all registered martyrs' families throughout the governorate. He described Martyr's Day as a chance to draw inspiration from the spirit of sacrifice in defense of religion and the country. Al-Sha'thami praised the cooperation of the governorate's leadership and various institutions in ensuring the project's success, noting the broader support for martyrs' families, which includes social, financial, healthcare, and educational assistance.
