Hodeidah: A three-day training course on detergent manufacturing began on Saturday in Hodeidah Governorate, organized by the local branch of the National Women's Committee in coordination with the local authority. At the opening, Deputy Governor for Services Mohammed Al-Hulaisi described the course as a step toward women's economic empowerment and strengthening their developmental role in society.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Hulaisi stressed the local authority's commitment to supporting income-generating programs and projects that help improve household livelihoods and ease economic hardships under current conditions. For her part, National Women's Committee branch head Fairouz Ali said the course aims to equip 50 participants from civil society organizations with practical skills to produce household detergents at reasonable cost and high quality, enabling them to launch small businesses.
She affirmed the committee's commitment to implementing training and capacity-building programs for women in various vocational and professional fields to enhance their contribution to local production. Meanwhile, Mohammed Sili, head of Al-Hali Multipurpose Cooperative Association, and the association's secretary, Majed Al-Idrisi, highlighted the importance of cooperation between official institutions and cooperative associations in supporting productive families.
