Ibb: Ibb University Rector Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili honored Dr. Saeed Al-Samhi and Dr. Sam Al-Dallali by awarding them the Research and Academic Excellence Shield for their scientific contributions and successful publication of their research in international peer-reviewed journals under the university's name.
According to Yemen News Agency, the recognition ceremony was conducted as part of Ibb University's ongoing efforts to celebrate excellence in scientific research. The university aims to encourage researchers across its colleges and centers to enhance their academic output and strengthen its presence at both local and international scientific platforms.
Dr. Al-Hujaili highlighted the importance of publishing scientific research as an academic and national responsibility. He emphasized that such endeavors not only showcase the researchers' efforts but also strengthen Ibb University's presence in academic databases and peer-reviewed journals, thereby improving its ranking and academic standing.
The rector also stressed that research excellence is measured by factors beyond the volume of publications. The quality of research, its relevance and originality, scientific value, and its capacity to address community issues and contribute to developmental solutions are crucial.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Hujaili called on researchers to align their work with national priorities and maintain scientific and ethical standards throughout the research and publication process. In response, Dr. Al-Samhi and Dr. Al-Dallali expressed their appreciation for the initiative, noting that it underscores the university leadership's commitment to supporting scientific research. They affirmed that this recognition would motivate them to continue producing, developing, and publishing research in peer-reviewed academic journals.
