Taiz: Minister of Justice Judge Mujahid Ahmed, alongside Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority Judge Dr. Marwan Al-Mahqari and Taiz Governor's Acting Official Ahmed Al-Masawi, inaugurated a project featuring eight courtrooms within the judicial complex of the province.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration ceremony was attended by key figures including the Ministry of Justice's Financial Affairs Official Judge Ahmed Al-Kahlani and Appeals Court Chief Judge Fawaz Al-Maqtari. The Minister of Justice emphasized that the opening of these courtrooms significantly enhances the infrastructure of model courts, offering a modern environment for judicial proceedings.
He acknowledged the local authority's contributions and the Ministry of Administrative Development's support through the Central Emergency Interventions Unit in completing this project. This development illustrates the state's dedication to maintaining the rule of law and safeguarding rights and freedoms.
Judge Al-Mahqari praised the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights for equipping the courtrooms to a high standard, aligning with the objectives of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the Supreme Judicial Council to improve the judicial work environment. He encouraged judges of appellate and primary courts to work closely with the new branches of the Judicial Inspection Authority in Hodeida and Ibb to ensure justice delivery.
The Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority mentioned plans for establishing appellate and commercial circuits and expanding primary courts in Taiz, addressing justice needs based on population and geography, and expediting case resolutions.
Acting Governor Al-Masawi expressed appreciation for the judiciary's work in completing the project, which he described as a significant advancement in judicial services, especially following the damage inflicted on judicial facilities by aggression forces.
Appeals Court Chief Judge Al-Maqtari thanked the Minister of Justice and the Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority for their visit to inaugurate the project. He highlighted the provision of essential equipment, technical devices, and security systems for the courtrooms, and discussed the volume of cases, progress, and solutions to challenges faced.
