Sana’a: The Deputy Governor of Sana’a for Technical Affairs, Engineer Saleh Al-Muntasir, conducted an inspection of the ongoing surveying and clearance operations by the Public Works branch in Sanhan District, focused on removing encroachments.
According to Yemen News Agency, teams from the Public Works Department along with the Cleaning and Improvement Fund are actively working to level Al-Arbaeen Street at the Dar Salm junction. The project covers a stretch of 200 meters in length and 40 meters in width. The removal of scrap boxes, abandoned vehicles, and feed trucks is underway to open up the street and alleviate traffic congestion.
Engineer Al-Muntasir, joined by the Director of Public Works in the governorate, Engineer Mohammed Ashia, examined the progress of clearing encroachments and waste as a preparatory step for leveling the street. Both officials affirmed the ongoing efforts to continue waste removal and street leveling, as well as clearing street vendors’ stalls and sales boxes that are hindering traffic, in line with the directives issued by the governorate’s leadership.
Engineer Mohammed Al-Ansi, Director of Public Works in the district, highlighted that the work is progressing to reopen the street, maintain its dimensions, and eliminate distortions and traffic congestion, thereby preserving the district’s aesthetic and urban environment.
During the visit, the officials were accompanied by Razeh Al-Saidi, Director of Facilities and Markets Administration in the Governorate’s Public Works Department, Deputy Director of Public Works in the district, Engineer Mohammed Al-Hamasi, and several other specialists.
