Interior Ministry Breaks Up Sabotage Cell Linked to Saudi Intelligence

Sana'a:The Interior Ministry has successfully dismantled a sabotage cell involved in bombings, surveillance, and coordinating with Saudi intelligence. This development follows a security operation that discovered and raided the cell's hideout.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the raid, the suspects opened fire on security forces, resulting in the death of one security officer and the injury of another. Two of the cell members, Abdulqawi Mahdi Ali Ghanim and Saleh Ali Saleh Al-Qasri, were killed, while a third suspect was apprehended.

Authorities seized explosive devices, weapons, and grenades which were intended for attacks in Sana'a. The cell had recently conducted four bombings in public areas of the capital and attempted to ambush military and security patrols on roads connecting Sana'a with other governorates.

The ministry has accused Saudi intelligence of supporting the sabotage activities and has reiterated its commitment to counter threats to public safety. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities and maintain cooperation with security agencies.
