Sana'a: The Ministry of Interior marked the annual anniversary of the Martyr of the Qur'an, Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, with a central oratory event in Sana'a, highlighting his legacy and the lessons from his life.
According to Yemen News Agency, Shura Council Chairman Mohammed Hussein al-Aidroos emphasized that commemorating the martyr offers guidance for youth and society, showcasing his role in redefining the conflict and raising awareness of confrontation with forces of arrogance.
Al-Aidroos praised the martyr's dedication to jihad, correcting the nation's path, strengthening faith-based identity, and exposing the intellectual and cultural schemes of the enemies. He described him as a model of honesty, steadfastness, and sacrifice, devoted to defending just causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, affirming that enemy attempts will not weaken the nation.
Speakers stressed that Yemen's current challenges reflect the cost of a sovereign stance inspired by the martyr's approach against tyrants, highlighting the role of the armed forces and Ministry of Interior in protecting the country and ensuring stability.
Brigadier General Hassan Al-Hadi, Director of Moral Guidance and Public Relations at the ministry, said the martyr's movement, guided by the Qur'an, educated the nation, denounced oppressors, and called for boycotts of enemy goods, even amid global silence. He noted that the martyr's Qur'anic project exposed plots against Yemen and strengthened the nation's resistance, leaving a lasting legacy in the Yemeni consciousness.
The event included a poem by Abdulbari Ubaid, a choral operetta, and a theatrical performance by the Ministry's Moral Guidance and Public Relations Theater Troupe.
