Jiblah University of Medical Sciences Commemorates Prophet’s Birthday with Educational Emphasis

Ibb: Jiblah University of Medical Sciences in Ibb Governorate on Monday held a commemorative event marking the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. At the event, Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi stressed the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday in a way that reflects the people's connection to the Prophet and draws inspiration from his life, values, and principles in building individuals and society and raising awareness of the importance of science and education in confronting challenges.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Saadi emphasized the pivotal role educational institutions play in consolidating religious identity and Quranic culture, aiming to graduate generations equipped with knowledge, education, and awareness capable of contributing to national development and strengthening state institutions. He described the occasion as an annual opportunity to draw lessons from the life, character, and positions of the Prophet.

Al-Saadi praised the efforts of Jiblah University of Medical Sciences in developing its educational and academic programs and advancing its medical specialties. He stressed the need to continue improving performance and providing an appropriate learning environment for students to help supply the health sector with qualified personnel capable of carrying out their responsibilities efficiently.

University President Dr. Abdullah Al-Matari highlighted that commemorating the Prophet's birthday provides an opportunity to strengthen scientific and ethical values among students and academic and administrative staff. It also renews their commitment to following the Prophet's example in pursuing knowledge, working, and serving society. In the presence of Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah, he affirmed the university's commitment to developing its academic programs and medical specialties and improving the quality of education and training in line with the needs of the health sector, thereby helping prepare qualified medical personnel with the knowledge and professional skills required to serve citizens.

The event featured speeches, religious chants, and cultural performances and was attended by Members of Parliament Dr. Ali Al-Zanem and Shura Council Member Zayed Al-Riyami, Deputy Governor Mohammed Al-Muraissi, Mobilization Official Abdul-Fattah Ghallab, Intelligence and Security Service Branch Director Major General Abdul-Ghani Al-Houthi, and District Director Sultan Shaji'.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education and Scientific Research and the Ibb Governor inspected operations at Jiblah Hospital and the level of medical services provided to patients and visitors. They heard from the hospital administration and medical staff about the nature of the work, as well as the needs and challenges affecting operations. Al-Saadi and Salah stressed the importance of improving performance, enhancing medical services, and providing the necessary resources to strengthen the hospital's capacity to provide healthcare to citizens. They also emphasized continued monitoring and addressing shortcomings within available resources.
