Under Royal directives, a Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) aircraft landed in Beirut Wednesday, carrying humanitarian aid including food, relief assistance, as well as drugs and medical supplies. The plane, which is the 10th dispatched to Lebanon, was received by Jordan's Ambassador to Beirut, Walid Hadid, and Brig. Gen. Ahmad Saadeh, representative of the Lebanese Army Commander, who expressed thanks to His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Kingdom's continued support for the Lebanese people. Hadid said: "11 Jordanians returned on the plane to Amman amid the current situation in brotherly Lebanon." The plane had departed to Lebanon to help overcome the difficult circumstances facing the Lebanese people and evacuate Jordanians in the Arab country. The evacuation of Jordanians onboard the aircraft and their return to the homeland, which was carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates, comes within the Kingdom's efforts to evacuate Jordanians during crises and emergency events, b y harnessing all capabilities and capacities to ensure their safety and provide all necessary means for their safe return to the Kingdom. The plane, sent by the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF), in coordination with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), carried food and relief supplies, drugs and medical supplies.
