Launch of Second Seasonal Honey Market in Bani Qais District Set for Friday

Bani qais: The Bani Qais Agricultural Association in Hajjah Governorate will launch the second seasonal market for medicinal 'Sidr' honey, produced by community-based beekeeping reserves, this Friday. The three-day market is organized in cooperation with the governorate's agricultural sector and relevant authorities, aiming to promote the high-quality honey for which the district is known. According to Yemen News Agency, agricultural sector official Hassan Hazzazi, district director Mohammed Al-Shahari, and district local council secretary Ahmad Al-Shammari emphasized the importance of such markets in supporting beekeepers, improving honey marketing, and developing the honey sector, especially under the ongoing blockade and conflict. They urged beekeepers to join the agricultural association to expand activities that benefit farmers and beekeepers, highlighting the need for stronger involvement from businesses and relevant companies to support initiatives that empower beekeepers and boost local production. E xecutive Director of the Bani Qais Association, Hamid Jarad, stated that hundreds of beekeepers will participate, showcasing large quantities of high-quality honey. He added that this initiative is part of the association's broader plans to develop the honey sector in the district and neighboring areas.
