Tripoli: Libya's Grand Mufti, Sheikh Dr. Sadiq Al-Gharyani, stated on Wednesday that the ongoing conflict against Ansar Allah in Yemen is being spearheaded by Saudi Arabia on behalf of the United States.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Gharyani made these remarks in a video posted on X. He called on Muslims to recognize that Saudi Arabia is conducting the war against Yemen's resistance and Ansar Allah using aircraft and missiles, acting on behalf of the Americans. The Mufti highlighted the strategic implications of the United States being involved in the Strait of Hormuz crisis, while claiming control over the area. He further pointed out that Ansar Allah's hold over the Bab al-Mandab Strait has exacerbated the situation for the US, challenging the notion of their military successes in the region.
