Sana'a: The Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring Center recorded an earthquake of 6.0 magnitude on the Richter scale in the Gulf of Aden, 173 km off the Yemeni coast. According to Yemen News Agency, the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring Center explained that the earthquake was recorded at 12:07 PM and was considered strong, with a depth of 10 km. The incident marks a significant seismic event in the region, highlighting the area's geological activity. The center had also recorded two minor tremors in the past few hours southwest of the city of Ataq in Shabwa Governorate. These tremors, although minor, further indicate an increase in seismic activity in and around the region, which may warrant close monitoring to assess any potential future risks.
