Mahwit: Students of Mahwit University organized a protest condemning the repeated desecration and insults directed at the Holy Quran, affirming the steadfast Yemeni popular stance in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Palestinian people, and solidarity with Lebanon.

According to Yemen News Agency, the participants denounced the burning of the Holy Quran and the ongoing violations against Islamic sanctities by what they described as the 'criminal Zionist enemy,' considering such acts a blatant attack on the beliefs of the Islamic nation and the sentiments of Muslims worldwide.

The students chanted slogans rejecting insults to the Holy Quran and condemning the silence and failure of Arab regimes to respond to such violations. They called for a unified stance among Muslim peoples and free people around the world.

They raised the Palestinian flag and banners expressing popular anger over the desecration of the Holy Quran and continued violations against the Palestinian people, reaffirming Yemen's consistent position in defending Islamic sanctities and standing with the Palestinian cause.

A statement issued by the protest stressed that insults to the Holy Quran will not weaken the nation's commitment to its faith and identity but will instead strengthen adherence to the Book of Allah and its teachings. It called for practical and deterrent measures against all those who insult Islamic sanctities under any pretexts.

The statement emphasized the continuation of student and popular support for Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian cause, rejecting all forms of normalization and complacency in the face of systematic targeting of the nation, while affirming full solidarity with the Lebanese people amid ongoing attacks and violations.

It also called on Arab and Islamic nations to strengthen unity, continue popular mobilization in defense of Islamic sanctities, and to firmly reject all forms of insult to the Holy Quran, attacks on the symbols and holy sites of the Ummah.

The statement reaffirmed adherence to the Book of Allah as a guiding constitution for life, describing it as the source of the nation's dignity and strength, while condemning repeated insults against the Quran and Islamic sanctities.

It held the United States, Britain, and the Israeli entity responsible for encouraging hostile practices against Muslims and their sacred values, rejecting any attempts to justify such insults under slogans such as freedom of expression.

The statement described the insults to the Holy Quran as a provocation to all Muslims and a blatant assault on the sanctities of the Ummah, calling for a unified Islamic response and widespread popular action, including boycott campaigns in defense of the Holy Book and Islamic values.

It warned against complacency or silence regarding such campaigns of insult, noting their serious impact on the faith-based and cultural identity of the Islamic nation.

The statement concluded by reaffirming continued steadfast support for the Palestinian people, their just cause, and the ongoing commitment to mobilization, popular activities, marches, and efforts to strengthen resilience until victory is achieved.
