Sana'a: A meeting at the University of Science and Technology brought together the Ministers of Education and Health to discuss educational and academic aspects related to the two ministries.
According to Yemen News Agency, the importance of the quality of education and institutional and programmatic accreditation was emphasized, particularly in medical specializations. The opening of new postgraduate programs was discussed, including the clinical doctorate (MD) and a master's degree in oral and dental surgery.
The meeting focused on enhancing the training and practical application for postgraduate students in hospitals to improve outcomes and raise the level of health services. It was also noted that academic accreditation is the foundation for ensuring local and international recognition of program quality, especially in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and the environment.
The two ministers listened to an explanation about the university's efforts in improving quality and developing programs, including bridging programs to meet labor market needs. The two ministers praised the university's outcomes and supported its future plans, affirming readiness to facilitate any difficulties.
The university president thanked them for the visit and considered it a motivation to enhance successes and develop academic programs.
