Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast cold to very cold weather in the mountainous and desert areas, with clear to partly cloudy skies along the coastal regions and parts of the western highlands over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center stated in its weather bulletin that nighttime and early morning temperatures in the governorates of Sa'ada, 'Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al Bayda, the highlands of Al Dhale', Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, western Al Jawf, and southern Marib are expected to range between 1°C and 4°C. Frost is also anticipated in some of these areas.
The weather is likely to remain cold in the highlands of Hadramawt, Shabwa, Taiz, Raymah, Al Mahwit, and Hajjah, with clear to partly cloudy skies. Cumulonimbus clouds may form over parts of the western highlands during the afternoon and evening.
Along the western and southern coasts, clear to partly cloudy weather is expected, with partly cloudy skies over the Socotra Archipelago and a chance of light rain in some areas. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally becoming gusty around the Socotra Archipelago, the western coasts, and the Bab al-Mandab strait.
The center has issued warnings about the cold and very cold conditions, advising particular caution for the elderly, children, the sick, and those working during nighttime and early morning hours. It also advised farmers to take protective measures for their crops and urged travelers to cold areas to take necessary precautions against cold-related shocks.
