Meteorology Warns of Scattered Thunderstorms and Rainfall Across Provinces

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast thunderstorms of varying intensity and scattered rainfall over parts of several provinces during the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center has issued a weather bulletin predicting rainfall of varying intensity accompanied by thunder over the Socotra Archipelago province, east of the Gulf of Aden, and parts of the eastern and southern coasts.

The forecast also indicates that scattered rainfall, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, is likely over parts of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhalea, western Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramout. Citizens residing in mountainous areas are warned of potential flash floods in valleys and ravines, advising against being present in or crossing their paths during and after rainfall.

In addition, the center cautioned ship captains and fishermen about adverse weather conditions expected in the Socotra Archipelago and the Gulf of Aden, urging precautions to ensure safety.
