Sana'a: Acting Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah, accompanied by Capital Secretary Dr. Hamoud Abbad, initiated the first phase of a green belt project for Sana'a by planting 10,000 Sidr trees. This launch coincides with the celebration of the Prophet Mohammed's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project is managed by the Capital Secretariat in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and involves community participation. The initiative aims to enhance Sana'a's environmental conditions and aesthetics. Additionally, it seeks to bolster honey production by providing essential trees for bees.
Miftah emphasized the project's significance in establishing green spaces, enhancing the climate, and fostering a culture of tree planting and community development. The project serves as a crucial step towards environmental improvement and sustainable community engagement in the region.
