Hodeidah:The Ministry of Education and Scientific Research has strongly condemned the targeting of the College of Medicine at Hodeidah University by Saudi enemy aircraft.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ministry stated that the assault on an academic institution dedicated to training medical professionals underscores the Saudi enemy's determination to destroy essential components of life in Yemen, particularly education, which is a cornerstone for human development and the nation's future.
The ministry described the attack as a crime against educational and academic institutions, reflecting deep-seated hostility towards the Yemeni people and efforts to undermine the present and future of Yemeni generations. It emphasized that attacks on educational facilities are not only assaults on physical structures but also direct violations of students' right to education, impeding the pursuit of science and knowledge.
The statement further highlighted that such actions aim to destroy Yemen's scientific institutions and human capabilities, portraying a desperate attempt to break the will of the Yemeni people. The ministry held the Saudi enemy fully responsible for the attack and its consequences, urging international, UN, and human rights organizations, along with educational bodies, to condemn the assault and protect educational facilities in Yemen.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the educational process, emphasizing that the resolve for life, knowledge, and progress will remain stronger than attempts at destruction. Teachers and academics are determined to continue their mission of educating the Yemeni people, safeguarding their right to knowledge, and shaping their future.
