Taiz:The Ministry of Youth and Sports has condemned the targeting of Al-Ahli Club Stadium in Taiz by Saudi aircraft. The attack resulted in significant destruction and direct damage to youth and sports facilities and infrastructure.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry issued a statement describing the attack as part of a systematic series of assaults on the youth and sports sector across various governorates. The Ministry highlighted that such actions violate international norms and covenants that prohibit the targeting of civilian and service facilities.
The Ministry emphasized that the assault on vital facilities, which serve as crucial outlets for youth and environments fostering their talents and creativity, is an attempt to undermine the will of the younger generation and deny them their right to engage in sports and youth activities.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports held the Saudi regime accountable for the attack and its humanitarian and material consequences, as well as for all ongoing crimes and violations affecting youth and athletes. It reaffirmed that such acts of aggression would only strengthen the resolve of the youth and athletes to remain steadfast. The Ministry stressed that the sports movement will continue to symbolize resilience and survival in the face of challenges.
