Taiz:The Ministry of Youth and Sports has condemned the targeting of Al-Shorouq Sports Club's headquarters and hall in Taiz Governorate by Saudi aircraft.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry stated that this attack is part of a series of assaults on youth and sports facilities, including the stadium of Al-Ahli Taiz Club in Al-Ta'iziyah District. The Ministry described these actions as a deliberate attempt to destroy public and private property and deprive youth and athletes of their essential spaces.
The Ministry's statement highlighted that the targeting of sports clubs, stadiums, and youth facilities, which are intended for civilian use, constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and international agreements that forbid the targeting of civilian and service facilities.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports holds the Saudi regime fully accountable, both legally and morally, for these attacks. It has called on international and sports organizations to break their silence and denounce these actions that impact the sports and youth sectors.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring that youth and athletes remain resolute and continue their activities, emphasizing that such systematic destruction will not hinder their presence and engagement in sports.
